Seeking a responsible Marina Dockhand to join our team, you'll assist boats with docking and undocking maneuvers, ensuring safety and efficiency. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of vessels and marina grounds is essential, along with fueling boats and assisting with general maintenance tasks. Knowledge of safety procedures, marina regulations, and excellent customer service skills are required, with flexibility to undertake any assigned duties. Starting wage is $13/hr plus tips. Part-time seasonal position, April through September preferred.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist boats with docking and undocking
  • Fuel boats within safety requirements and assistance with taking on of supplies, water, battery charging, etc. (knowledge of proper fuel, oils, etc. essential).
  • Maintain Marina Docks, equipment, and grounds
  • Ensure rental vessels are clean. Hatches, hatch lids, and drain alleyways are clean. Glass and bright work area spot free.
  • Assistance as required in general Marina maintenance and repairs. (alertness for safety related repairs or needs).
  • Assist with customer’s departure, fueling, ice or any other service they may need.
  • Assistance as assigned in storm preparation.
  • Know applications of storm, fire, first aid, freeze and oil spill procedures.
  • Knowledge of Marina dockage rates.
  • Knowledge of Marina regulations and enforcement procedures.
  • Must be responsible individuals who will present themselves well to the boaters since they will have the most contact with the boaters and public.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Marina Management 

Skills & Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to swim 
  • Must be 18 to drive boats and equipment
