We are looking for an energetic, outdoor loving, customer service extraordinaire!
Elliott Bay Marina is the West Coast’s largest privately owned marina providing moorage facilities for boaters from around the Puget Sound. We offer world class amenities and facilities just minutes from Downtown Seattle. We are currently seeking a Marina Dockhand to assist with the day-to-day operations of our facility. The Marina Dockhand assists in the operation of the Elliott Bay Marina facility through providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing docking help to customers, payment processing, grounds keeping, facility cleaning, and maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times. Additionally, this position supports special events held at the marina. This role requires that the highest level of service be given to each customer; a background in customer service is greatly valued. Previous experience or knowledge of boats is also helpful, but not required. We are currently looking for 30 or less hours per week. This position also has the opportunity of getting cross-trained at our Fuel Dock and has the potential to grow into a management role.

Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide world-class customer service
- Conduct regular dock checks to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition
- Assist with special events around the marina when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of marina facilities
- Assist boaters on and off the dock and answer questions upon arrival
- Responsible for conducting transactions and properly recording sales
- Answer questions about products being sold, the marina, and Seattle in general
- Seek opportunities for promotions or other ways to draw in business
- Must be available night, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Motivated and able to work independently as well as working in a team environment
- This position is heavily based outdoors and will need to be willing to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to swim
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Comfortable around water and working on docks
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
