Southern Marinas is seeking a Marketing & Sales Intern to help us drive business growth by engaging with local communities, planning events, and developing strategic partnerships to attract new customers to our marinas and boat rentals.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:
  • Event Planning & Coordination: Assist in organizing marina events that bring in boaters, local businesses, and the community.
  • Customer Engagement: Connect directly with potential customers, answer questions, and promote marina services to drive slip and boat rental sales.
  • Networking & Partnerships: Build relationships with local businesses, tourism groups, and organizations to increase foot traffic and visibility.
  • On-Site Sales & Promotion: Visit high-traffic areas, attend community events, and find creative ways to bring in new customers.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential customers for boat rentals and slip leasing through face-to-face interactions.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university (Marketing, Business, Hospitality, Communications, or related field preferred).
  • Outgoing, energetic, and comfortable talking to new people.
  • Passion for outdoor events, hospitality, and customer engagement.
  • Ability to work independently, travel, and manage multiple tasks.
  • A proactive attitude—someone who isn’t afraid to go out and find new customers.
  • Must be available to travel to various marina locations throughout Tennessee.
