Southern Marinas is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Regional Sales Manager to drive the success of our individual marinas within Tennessee. This role will be integral in increasing slip occupancy and enhancing our boat rental business through strategic business development and community engagement. In this roll you will travel frequently between properties and different locations throughout Tennessee and occasionally to other locations as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture relationships with local businesses, including boat brokers, hotels, and community organizations, to enhance marina visibility and drive boat rental volume.
  • Community Engagement: Actively represent our marinas at community events, networking opportunities, and business associations to build a strong local presence and attract visitors.
  • Occupancy Growth: Implement and execute targeted sales strategies to increase marina slip occupancy, identifying new opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Boat Rental Awareness: Focus on expanding awareness of our boat rental offerings, creating strategic collaborations to increase traffic and utilization.
  • Brand Visibility: Elevate the profile of our marinas through consistent and professional outreach efforts, ensuring we are recognized as a premier destination for boating and waterfront activities.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate on hosting impactful events that bring people to our marinas and strengthen relationships within the boating community.
  • Collaboration with Marketing: Work in tandem with the marketing team to craft and support unique promotional initiatives that attract visitors and enhance our marina offerings.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the effectiveness of sales and partnership initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related field, with a preference for experience in the marina, hospitality, or tourism industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanor and a knack for building lasting relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-driven approach to achieving occupancy and rental goals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects with precision and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with the local boating community and market trends is highly desirable.
